Lights Out!

Tomorrow evening is Lights Out San Francisco, a group effort to reduce energy consumption by turning your lights off for one hour. The organizers expect to save about 15% of the energy typically consumed on a San Francisco Saturday night.



If I was still bartending, I'd be hosting a Lights Out Party for this thing. Imagine a roomful of revelers, a crapload of candles, and no lights! Sounds pretty sexy to me. Then again, you don't need a party to light a few candles and enjoy the non-electrified mood lighting...

All ya gotta do is turn off your non-essential lights on Saturday, October 20 (tomorrow!), from 8:00-9:00 pm. You can also sign the pledge if you're feeling really proactive.
